Your initial consultation and ongoing treatment are led by an Independent Prescribing Pharmacist with specialist training in weight management. The clinic operates under the clinical oversight of a Consultant Diabetologist, and patients also have access to support from a Registered Dietitian.
Do I see the Consultant Diabetologist?
Most patients are managed by the prescribing pharmacist. The Consultant Diabetologist provides clinical governance and reviews complex cases when specialist input is required, ensuring patients receive expert care where appropriate.
Who is suitable for treatment?
You may be suitable if you:
- Have a BMI of 30 kg/m² or above, or
- Have a BMI of 27 kg/m² or above with weight-related health conditions such as Type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, or obstructive sleep apnoea.
Suitability is determined following a full clinical assessment.
Do I need a GP referral?
No. You can self-refer by booking an appointment directly with our clinic.

What is Mounjaro?

How long is my first appointment?
Your initial consultation lasts approximately 60 minutes.
How long are follow-up appointments?
Routine follow-up appointments are 20 minutes long.
How often will I be reviewed?
You will have:
- A complimentary follow-up approximately two weeks after starting treatment.
- Monthly 10-20-minute clinical reviews throughout your treatment.
- Additional complimentary follow-up appointments whenever clinically required.
Are follow-up appointments included?
Yes. There is no additional consultation charge for follow-up appointments during your treatment programme.
Can I contact the clinic if I have side effects?
Yes. We encourage patients to contact us promptly if they experience side effects or have concerns about their medication.

Do I need blood tests?
Not everyone requires blood tests. If clinically indicated, your pharmacist may recommend blood tests before or during treatment.

Both Mounjaro and Wegovy are administered as a once-weekly injection using a pre-filled injection device. Full training will be provided during your appointment.
Can I travel with my medication?
Yes. We will advise you on safe storage, transport, and travelling with your medication.
Do I need to follow a special diet?
No specific diet is required, but healthy eating is essential for achieving the best results. Our Registered Dietitian can provide personalised dietary advice.
What happens if I miss a dose?
The appropriate action depends on how much time has passed since your scheduled dose. Please contact the clinic for advice before taking your next injection.
Can I stop treatment at any time?
Yes. However, we recommend discussing your decision with your clinician first, as stopping treatment may affect your weight management progress and future treatment plan.

Can I switch to your clinic if I’m already taking Mounjaro or Wegovy?

Will the NHS pay for my treatment?
